More than just red lipstick...

A few years back, I came home crying after finding out my then bf was cheating on me. My son (who was then 4 years old) asked me, "Mom, why are you crying?". In between sobs I said, "Someone broke my heart." To this he said "It's ok, Mom, you just have to learn to let go." I didn't know whether to laugh or cry some more. But to this day, it was the best advice anybody has given me. We hold on to something so tightly even when the pain is too much to bear because we believed that it was the source of our happiness, it was what made us complete, not realizing that we had lost ourselves. It took me a very long time to heal but God had His reasons. He made sure that my heart was His alone before He lets anybody in again. Letting go was the best thing I ever did... because now, God has given me more than I could ever hope for...
